Terms and conditions

Until complete terms and conditions are published, use of the Mapasso app is governed by the following rules and otherwise by statutory law. Pilot customers are also bound by their individual agreements. Questions: info@mapasso.de.

Section 8: Availability of published passports

(1) As long as the app is installed in the customer's store, Mapasso keeps every Digital Product Passport published through the app publicly available. How long a passport must be available by law is set by the EU legal act that applies to the product in question. Where such a period applies, the customer is responsible for keeping the passport available after uninstalling the app, for example by using the export under paragraph 4.

(2) For this purpose, Mapasso stores a copy of the passport with the storage service Cloudflare R2 of Cloudflare, Inc. after each publication. If the app cannot be reached, this copy is served.

(3) After the app is uninstalled, Mapasso deletes the customer's published passports, including all copies, earlier versions and print versions, no later than 30 days after uninstallation. After that, the passports can no longer be accessed, not even through QR codes on products that have already been sold. The customer may at any time request that individual passports or earlier versions be removed sooner. Mapasso does this within one month.

(4) Until uninstallation, the customer can export their passports as CSV or JSON-LD at any time.

(5) Published passports may contain personal data, for example the name and address of a manufacturer operating as a sole trader. How Mapasso processes this data is governed by the app privacy policy.

This is a translation. In case of discrepancies, the German version prevails.
